[edit] User:Dell9300/The Sims: Scholastic
Page masquerading as an article about a fictitious video game. —Bkell (talk) 22:56, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. Had the user not redirected the mainspace article The Sims: Scholastic to this fake article, I could see letting this go. But he did, showing a clear intent to deceive readers. Out it goes. William Pietri 23:32, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hold it. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the user "[showed] a clear intent to deceive readers"; I don't think this was in bad faith. It is, however, pretty unencyclopedic, since such an expansion pack will never be created. That, not the speculation of bad faith, is why I say, "delete". --Iamunknown 01:19, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Am I missing some indication this isn't a willful hoax? A Google search shows pretty much nothing but this link, which is a fan site for fake video game box art. And it's the same username on both their site and ours. Thanks, William Pietri 13:42, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- It may indeed be a willful hoax, but that does not suggest that it is in bad faith. Fans may go to great lengths and still act in good faith. But that does not mean that we want their content on Wikipedia. --Iamunknown 06:13, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

- Delete I was going to suggest putting it in mainspace, but apparently that's been tried and rejected. YechielMan 02:24, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- delete Per above.--James, La gloria è a dio 07:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete Whether it was bad faith, or just horseplay, goofing around, etc, is debatable. —Gaff ταλκ 19:41, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
