The result of the debate was delete. Consensus at TFD was to delete, not to userfy. These icons are widely disliked and reinforce the misconception that deletion debates are decided by vote count. >Radiant< 11:14, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User:Booksworm/votes
Previous consensus has been to disallow specialized templates adding icons to !votes. Not only do they encourage voting instead of consensus building, they are annoying. Also nominating all subpages. -N 20:50, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep I do not see any harm in keeping this. It is also revelant to wikipedia.--James, La gloria è a dio 21:56, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete There was a long discussion about this recently at TFD. The precedent established there should hold up here. YechielMan 04:14, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep The page itself is harmless; the templates may be of some use to editor in the future. However, I might say that it might cause the discussion page to be a tad clourful :) -Zacharycrimsonwolf 06:39, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Comment - Please note that other users utilize vote templates but they follow the correct procedure (like I do) and substitute the template, which is what should be done. I will not specifically state any users, but please examine FPCs to see that there are indeed other vote templates in use by other users. And why on Earth are voting templates - and I quote - "Annoying"? That is already a violation of WP:NPOV, you decide that they are annoying, but that is your opinion - your deletion rationale is therefore flawed. However, if you wish, I will limit my usage of Voting templates to FPCs, as they are already used by other users there. --Booksworm Sprechen-sie Koala? 08:42, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. I do not much like these, but it is over the top to delete them. --Bduke 11:21, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete Obviously, we've been through this millions of times before (can't remember where the TFD logs are at). Even though you subst them, the images are redundant as this is the English Wikipedia, not a multilingual project. These images are useful at Commons or any other multilingual project, but not here. - Comment "Does no harm" is not a valid delete rationale. (→zelzany - review) 19:40, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
