The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the miscellaneous page below. Please do not modify it. The result of the debate was Keep and Move to Userspace. There is clear consensus expressed in the discussion, supporting both the existence of this page, and its moving to the user space. The latter is reinforced by the German Userbox Solution, by which all controversial boxes are to be hosted in the user, rather than the template, namespace. Further to this, Template:BarnstarPo-Po (*smirk*) has been moved to User:Thugman123/BarnstarPo-Po.

I would like to address one final concern which arose in the discussion, for the purposes of clarification. One does not own a Wikipedia page simply because one created it: the ownership of articles policy states this loud-and-clear, and anything to the contrary is detrimental to the encyclopedia. Given the name of this template by it's creator, it is not serious meant. Also, what is an illegal barnstar? If somebody gives oneself a barnstar, it may give meaning, but I don't think this gives the right impression of how Wikipedia works. Greswik (talk) 18:02, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Keep. Harmless and mildly amusing (although the name is funnier than the template itself). This is obviously going to be moved to userspace per WP:UBM if it is kept, so there is no sense moving the discussion for process reasons. The redirect to it can probably be deleted though.
