Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Talk:Habbo Hotel/FAQ

Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the page's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.
The result of the debate was superceded by events. The move of this page to a new home has rendered some of the objections in the MfD nomination obsolete. A new nomination would now be necessary to seek a proper consensus, although some commenters have suggested that such a nomination would be an exercise in futility. [edit] Talk:Habbo Hotel/FAQ
The article was moved, and the WP:FAQ isn't really needed anymore. Supermatique (talk) 12:57, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete per nom; unnecessary. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 17:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Have you guys ever tried to maintain an article over the long term? Every bit helps. There's a lot of animosity about the selective content of Habbo that warrants this being shown explicitly on the talk page to avoid repeating the same arguments over and over again. –Pomte 23:09, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment - the article having moved is not a problem - the template could be moved to Talk:Habbo/FAQ just as easily. Dreaded Walrus t c 01:33, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- I totally agree. The huge notice at the top and the FAQ have both equally helped deal with the amount of complaints that new users and trolls make about the article constantly. Having worked on the article (not recently though, due to some issues) a lot in the past these sorts of things really do help. I'd like to seem some further elaboration of your statement, particularly the part "WP:FAQ isn't really needed anymore" because I can see many reasons why it is needed. As for the page being moved, it is quite easy to just move it to its new correct title. I see absolutely no rationale to delete the page, so I support keeping it. Spebi 21:46, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- The nominated page is a redirect - Am I missing something? It appears to me that it was moved on the 10th and that all that remains is a redirect. The redirect is only linked to from this page. The MFD notice on the new page is somewhat messed up, since it no longer links here. The redirect is probably pointless, but beyond the jurisdiction of MFD. Maybe the author would tag it for WP:SPEEDY. As to the FAQ itself, the nomination doesn't really give a good reason for deletion. I agree that elaboration is necessary, but it's a bit late, more than 5 days into this.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 20:43, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

- As you mention in your edit summary, the subpage was moved after this MfD debate. The author, I imagine, believes the template itself (which is now located at Talk:Habbo/FAQ) should not exist, and should be deleted, because "the WP:FAQ isn't really needed any more". The first part of their rationale doesn't really matter as the template itself has been moved now too. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about editing this MfD and the relevant page to reflect the moved pagw, but it should be noted that this debate is over the template now located at Talk:Habbo/FAQ, rather than over the redirect at Talk:Habbo Hotel/FAQ.
