[edit] Talk:Boy/Gallery
Wikipedia is not an image hosting service. Secondly the criteria for inclusion of photos in this gallery seem rather subjective. Flyingtoaster1337 09:30, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, WP:NOT. If you want to host free-use images, use Wikimedia Commons. There's nothing that helps the encyclopedia with this page of images. Terence Ong 10:32, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. If they're not free use, they don't belong there. Images in galleries are under no circumstances fair use. Free image gallery is better suited for Commons. - Mgm|(talk) 13:28, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Keep. Wikipedia image galleries are allowed under the userspace as not being substantially unrelated to Wikipedia, thus not violating any criteria of WP:USER (e.g. Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia). Neither of these picture are found to be fair-use after a quick browse, and those which are ones should be removed. Please see Ewlyahoocom's gallery MfD and Cyde's gallery MfD. Michaelas10 (Talk) 15:48, 23 January 2007 (UTC)- Ahh I noticed its a talk subpage (silly me). I'm switching to delete unless it can possibly be moved to userspace. - Delete Per this section of WP:NOT: Mere collections of photographs or media files with no text to go with the articles. If you are interested in presenting a picture, please provide an encyclopedic context, or consider adding it to Wikimedia Commons. If a picture comes from a public domain source on a website, then consider adding it to Wikipedia:Images with missing articles or Wikipedia:Public domain image resources. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sir james paul (talk • contribs) 17:12, 23 January 2007 (UTC).

- Neutral. I don't know why copyright or fair use figures into this, considering it looks like all the images are free-license. Maybe a subpage in the article talk space isn't a good place for this kind of thing. But it was apparently created in response to some level of demand, expressed in Talk:Boy#I.27m_just_wondering.... If Talk:Girl/Images is allowed to exist, so should the Boy gallery. Contrapositively, if the Boy gallery is deleted, the Girl gallery should be deleted as well. Maybe compromise can be achieved by moving the galleries. Vid the Kid (t/c) Does this font make me look fat? 08:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. It is here temporarily during discussion: see Talk:Boy#I'm just wondering.... Anthony Appleyard 12:32, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

- Delete. Serves no purpose. `'mikka 20:47, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Delete it's unnecessary. If something like this is absolutely necessary, couldn't it be a category (preferably on commons)?--Rudjek 23:54, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. It's definitely inappropriate. Bigtop 23:49, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, does not serve any encyclopedic purpose. --Coredesat 21:42, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
