misterjerk originally hails from Montreal, Quebec and now resides with his family in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The "mister" as he is sometimes known has such interests as Roman History, Political Science, Information Technology and Canadian Companies.

The mister started with computing in the 1980s, his first exposure to a computer was the Osborne_1. As time went on he began to spend more and more time with computers, especially the ones below in chronological order.

The mister got into the ia32bit architecture with the AMD i386 processor. He ran a successful Bulletin Board System in the 1990s devoted to regional and international mailing and FREQing (in BBS vernacular).

Since 1993 misterjerk has been working in the IT industry, specializing in Banking Infrastructure and Enterprise Applications, especially International Payments Infrastructure, Anti-Money Laundering and the UNIX Operating System.
