Hey there! This is MissMera's user page, although I more often go by "Ellie." I'm the same MissMera responsible for the Tenshi no Present translation, but... not any of those other MissMeras you find out there. Yeah.

[edit] What I Do
Nothing too special. I write articles and short stories, mostly. I spent a number of years in Japan and several years before that studying, so I'm quite good at Japanese. These days, I spend a lot of time translating stuff for fun. Although I rarely put anything I translate online, I did help translate Angel's Present. I'm currently working on a Little Princess project, and hope to start on Genso Suikogaiden after that. We'll see.
Clearly, I love videogames quite a lot. ♥
Although I've listed myself as having advanced Japanese knowledge, it depends on what I'm being graded on. I've passed level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam. I have excellent reading and writing skills, and am capable of translating books, web pages and the like. I'm completely terrible at listening and speaking, though. Aww. I still passed the listening of the JLPT, but not with scores I'd boast about.

History, mostly. I love medieval European culture. Consequentially, I spend a lot of time looking at general medieval culture, Catholic history and biblical information. I am particularly fond of bestiaries. I also enjoy reading about Renaissance culture, the American Wild West and quirky unsolved mysteries. I think the Voynich Manuscript is awesome.
I also love videogames. I like RPGs of all shapes and sizes, action/adventures and the occasional shooter. I am a very big fan of the Castlevania series. I've recently been into the Touhou games, too.

Nothing fantastic. I'm the kind of person who looks up absolutely everything on the Internet. If I read an article about something, have a discussion about anything or watch a documentary on any topic at all, I tend to rush online and look it up. Consequentially I look at a lot of really weird pages.
Bad grammar bugs me a lot. I've surfed Wikipedia anonymously for years, and in that time almost all of my edits have been to fix comma splices, extremely casual/personalized speech and stilted-sounding sentences. I feel bad changing other people's work, honestly, although I have no problems editing them for clarity.

I'm sorry! I am a quiet, roaming editor. I almost never come back to the same page twice. If you have a problem with my edits, just revert it back. You don't have to bring anything up with me. If I changed something, it's probably because I thought it wasn't written very well. I have nothing invested in Wikipedia, I don't watch any articles, and I don't change anything out of spite. I change things because I think they sound awful.
