I am reverting todays edit by anon User:68.210.36.221, though not without reluctance. Much, perhaps 2/3rds, looks like positive additions, but it is couched very much in the Comus POV with some snide cracks at various other organizations, politicians and points of view. I encourage the anon editor to look over Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and if possible rewrite more in those lines (note that the previous edits can be found in article history). If neither they nor anyone else does so, I will try to merge much of the historically descriptive material back into the article. I know it's nearly impossible to find people in New Orleans who can frame a sentence refering to the disputes between the old line crews and councilwoman Taylor without resorting to editorializing adjectives, but Wikipedia's goal is a straightforward description. -- Infrogmation 05:38, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mistick Krewe of Comus

It's "Mistick" not "Mystick."

Sources -- R. Tallant, "Mardi Gras" (Pelican, 1976) at page 115. See also, H. Schindler, "Mardi Gras Treasures" (Pelican, 2000) passim. There are thousands of other sources.

To be 100% accurate, the article should be renamed to correct the spelling, but I don't know how to do that.

Moved per sited reccomendation. -- Infrogmation 02:31, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Early History

ARGH! I thought I had the footnotes figured out, after looking at the Wiki-edit pages. Can a veteran look at the HTML code and tell me what I did wrong?

[edit] Links between Pickwick Club & MKC

There is no reference for the suggestion that all Pickwick members belong to MKC. This is not surprising, since it isn't accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.14.42.239 (talk) 05:44, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
