whoever these people are, you did a really nice job! nice summary on the career of mr. sinister. awhile back i wrote down "mr. sinister is a bad guy." i returned and i see you nicely filled out the details of his life.
i created a link on "mister x" which was wolverine's adversary.

[edit] "Immoral power"
I understand that there is no other category for the fact that Mr Sinister is immoral, but should it really come under "Notable powers"?
BowserMarkII 16:34, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Probably not, especially since circumstances in Colossus: Bloodline led readers to believe that Sinster's powers were waning and needed to be revitalized by a reincarnated Grigory Rasputin. Possibly remove immortality from the powers section but put a notes section on the page explaining what I just said. Tullyman 20:31, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Is he a mad scientist or an evil genius? I guess the latter. --David.alex.lamb 02:52, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
I'd say he's both -- he is a top-notch scinetist -- though he does lean more towards the latter. Oh, and it really should be immortal, not immoral... though both are appropriate in his case Dr Archeville 18:45, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Do you have a citation for him being immortal? Could he not have a long life span but not be immortal? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ldstryfe (talk • contribs) 00:03, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Introduction Error
"is a supervillain in the Marvel Comics universe. The character is a recurring foe of the X-Men"
With is recent death, it should be in the past tense.
"was a supervillian in the Marvel Comics universe. The character was a recurring for of the X-Men"
I realize he has not been dead that long, but characters that are confirmed dead are written of in the past tense because they are no longer alive in the present. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.176.150.105 (talk) 00:03, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
How many times in the past has Sinister "died"?? I don't think he's going to stay dead. --Drunknesmonsta (talk) 00:30, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Can you site a source for his death? Raven Darkholm was also absorbed by Rogue but she is very much alive so until their is a sited definative source he should not be listed as dead. Jason —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ldstryfe (talk • contribs) 14:41, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's true, however, IIRC Rogue consciously spared Mystique's life. With Sinister, though, not only was Rogue comatose, but the following issues of MC treated Sinister as being very, very dead. Hence why he didn't get back up, as Mystique has. Of course, it's Marvel, but (for now) Sinister's dead. TheJoust (talk) 21:04, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Sources?
Where are the sources for Sinister's biographical info for those who want to read the complete stories in the comics? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.225.130.109 (talk) 06:52, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Both are appropriate!?"
Since when has immorality been a "notable superpower"? Immortal is the only thing that fits there, and I'll have to edit it to get rid of that obvious mistake.
- Both are appropriate b/c Sinister is both immortal and immoral. Never said "immoral" was a power (though I thought I had gone and edited that bit in his charbox). --Dr Archeville 05:31, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image
I don't know a whole lot about Mister Sinister, but I think the main image could be better (maybe something like this[1]). The current one is very dark, dfoes not show a lot of his costume, and due to the shadows etc it is kind of confusing...Davey4
Yeah, I'm not so found of it either. Here's a few images [2] [3] DCincarnate
Personally I dont have a problem with the pic but, I like the top pic of the second choice more. That first pic makes Sinister look to weak, Thefro552 13:14, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah any of those posted seem better to me. Just as long as it is lighter, and it clearly shows his face/costume etc. ThanksDavey4
Here is another one I found. [4] DCincarnate
The link is Forbidden. Oooooooh Scary :) Thefro552 06:18, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorry. Here it is [5] DCincarnate
Looks like some high school kid drew that. I still like the other image. Thefro552 16:22, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Which image was that? DCincarnate
Link #3, the top image, the full body shot. Thefro552 04:14, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I have added a new image of Sinister DCincarnate
Looks good. Two thumbs up. :) Thefro552 16:58, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Invunerable?
I have had an issue with the usage of the word invunerable. By definition invunerable means to be completly impervious to harm. There is no character that is completly invunerable, even the likes of Superman and Thor can still be hurt (granted its way more difficult for them).
In Essex's case the only protection he really has is tougher skin, his healing factor takes care of the rest. The example of him being shot through the head expresses this perfectly. Superhuman durability seems to me to be a better representation of this ability. Please comment. Thefro552 03:41, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Teleportation?
Sinister has shown the ability to teleport on several occasions: X-Men #23-27-45-52 and Cable #6. In Colossus Bloodlines #5, Mikhail Rasputin mentions that Sinister can teleport. Sinister's OHOTMU bio also outright states that Sinister is a teleporter. -- DCincarnate (talk) 22:14, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WOW
I liked the original article better than this. It was nice to have a reference point for all of his past exploits. This article doesn't do this character justice given the amount of problems he has created for various X-Teams. To be honest its kinda disapointing. --Drunknesmonsta (talk) 00:27, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
The original article was terrible. The problem with Sinister's history is that he makes a small appearance in an (X-Men) issue, does SOMETHING bad, but there is hardly much he does worthwhile, aside from what you can see in the article that I left in, nor is there any real conclusion to his schemes. It's difficult to write out Sinister's full history because it's frankly just clutter. DCincarnate (talk) 00:03, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Endangered Spieces
Sinister wan in part one of the story of Endangered Spieces, but the diarys of Destiny thing was in Blinded by the Light. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.6.18.51 (talk) 23:05, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
