[edit] Trail Closure

The fact of the trail closure is encyclopedic, but rants (no matter how much I agree with them) about how the Gas Company is out of line are not encyclopedic.

I haven't been up there in a couple of years, so I can't confirm or deny the closure. localhikes.com has an October 2006 comment about the closure, but no more recent comment has mentioned it.

More information at socalmtb.com. Comments in 2004 and 2005 (no more recent comments) indicate that Homeland Security told the Gas Company to improve security, and that the Gas Company cut a new trail that is inferior.
