[edit] Genii Gun Similarities

Has anybody noticed that the Genii Rifles are the exactly same one that was seen in Blade:Trinity. in the Nightstalkers Tech Lab? I'm surprised no one has noticed or said anything about this in the article.

I noticed, I just didn't think it was really worth mentioning. They've reused props before, a Wraith weapon seen in Sateda was used in SG-1 before. JBK405 23:04, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Really? Which one was it? celestialphoenixreborn

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure the energy weapon the Wraith used in Sateda was a re-use of the prop from...drat, I can't think of the name, but it was an early SG-1 episode where they stumbled upon two nations in a cold war, and they were captured by the "There's no such thing as a Stargate" faction. You mean the Wraith stunners? Yes, they have been using them since "The Lost Boys" from last year, they're just a repainted version of the Bedrosian weapons. The change was never explained but the real reason is probably production-wise, I bet those first generation Wraith stunners (the kind with the bayonet on the end and the glowing center) were heavy or clumsy to carry around so they went for an older, lighter prop and repainted them.

Yup, that's it (I just could not think of the name). It's pretty standard practice to reuse propos from other TV shows/movies, or even your own show, when necessary; pretty much all cinema does so. JBK405 02:39, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

The Wraith Stunner Sticks where used several times in SG-1 by several races/planets, also the bridge that Shepard walks on to avoid the Genii when they infiltrate Atlantis is set from the last blade. -- 143.238.200.223 12:52, 29 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Ronon Dex Sword

Ronon Dex's sword sould be featured in this article too for the following reasons:

  1. It features a unuiqe design.
  2. It is not a common weapon in StarGate Atlantis (this may yet change).
  3. Ronon is extremly skilled with it.
  4. It makes up half of Ronons standard weapon complement.
  5. It dose not fit into any other StarGate weapon or technology category. -- 143.238.200.223 12:43, 29 April 2007 (UTC).

Ronon made it himself. I was able to see a blueprint of the sword at the Vancouver Stargate convention and it seems it's made of Wraith bones and metal from a Wraith ship. Just as well, the sheith is made from the leather of the Wraith coats.

  • However, it's not necessarily technology, as compared to, say, the Athosian fire starter. It's a beam that provides fire. It also shows that the Athosians were once advanced, which could prove important.

[edit] EM Field Generator

Although it doesn't say in the article that it is an Ancient technology, one could infer that it was one, considering that it uses a ZPM. It might have even been possibly said that it was in the episode Childhood's End. I think we should move it, because I doesn't seen right to put that section in Miscellaneous tech. [edit] Traveler's Gun

Maybe the 2 guns are similar, but different? Because if the Travelers produced the guns, then they would have all of the energy packs they need to power them, but Ronon wouldn't. Yet, he can keep using it without replacing any power pack. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.200.24.145 (talk) 16:13, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Too many non-free images

There are currently discussions in favor of an image-reduction drive on lists per Wikipedia:Non-free content. However, there is disagreement how far this applies to fiction list-articles. Nevertheless, since wikipedia strives to be a free-content encyclopedia, it would be a good idea to reconsider how many elements on this page really need images. A preferred rule of thumb is to have no more than five such images, and to not have images for where subarticles use the same images. If someone wants to help out, even if it is just in little steps, please do so. – sgeureka t•c 17:43, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
