Mistress Half-Nelson

Mrs. Half-Nelson is a fictional, anthropomorphic bulldog villain created for the animated television series Tale Spin. She appears in the episode Bringing Down Babyface and was voiced by Billie Hayes. Her first name is unknown.

She was the mother ruthless gangster Babyface Half-Nelson. Although seemingly just a sweet little old lady, Mrs. Half-Nelson was actually quite a vicious mobster herself, almost as mean as her son. Still, she loved her son very much, and hired two thugs to break him out of the paddywagon driving him to the courthouse to stand trial.

Unknown to Mrs. Half-Nelson, Babyface had already escaped and left Baloo to take the fall, and, as neither thug had seen Babyface Half-Nelson before, they mistakenly grabbed Baloo instead. Regardless, Babyface arrived at his mother's house safe and sound shortly afterwards, leaving Baloo a loose end. Mrs. Half-Nelson ordered her son and her thugs to kill the pilot (but to do it outside since she just had the floor waxed), but they botched the mission and Baloo escaped.

The thugs returned home with the news that the escaped pilot was leading Officers Malarky and Gertalin to the Half-Nelson residence, forcing Mrs. Half-Nelson and her son to blow the house up and retreat to a secret underground hideout located beneath Tiny's Grill. Mrs. Half-Nelson remained more or less idle from this point on, but she was arrested nonetheless when Baloo, Rebecca Cunningham, and Kit Cloudkicker managed to lead the police to the Half-Nelsons' hideout by flying through the sewers in the Sea Duck.
