High school ice hockey in Missouri is not sanctioned by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) but is sactioned by USA Hockey.

High school hockey in Missouri consists of two leagues centered in the two largest metro areas of the state, St. Louis, Missouri and Kansas City Missouri. Most of the teams in are located in the eastern portion of the state with only a few teams playing in the KC metro.

The MSCHA was founded in 1971 The league is made up of teams around the St Louis metro with one team located in Illinois.
