Missouri State League
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Missouri State League was a baseball minor league. The league was created for the 1911 season, as were all of the teams which were a part of it.
The League started with teams in Brookfield, Missouri, Jefferson City, Missouri, Kirksville, Missouri, Macon, Missouri, and Sedalia, Missouri. The Brookfield team, the Hustlers, folded on May 8, and the Sedalia team moved to Brookfield after the Hustlers folded. They had a record of 7-3 in Sedalia, and 4-5 in Brookfield. The final standings were:
Sedalia Cubs (later Brookfield Cubs) | 11-8 |
Macon Athletics | 10-8 |
Kirksville Osteopaths | 9-12 |
Jefferson City Senators | 11-9 |
Brookfield Hustlers | 0-4 |
The Jefferson City Senators team folded on June 2. The Brookfield Cubs, Kirksville Osteopaths, Macon Athletics, and the league itself folded on June 4.
