Mission Hospitals, formerly known as Mission St. Joseph's Health System, is located in Asheville, NC. Mission Hospitals was formed in 1999 through the merger of Memorial Mission Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital, both located in Asheville. Today the hospital, licensed for 800 beds, houses two campuses, respectively called the Memorial campus and the St. Joseph campus. It is also the referral center for Western North Carolina.
