Miss The Mississippi, released in September of 1979, was Crystal Gayle's first album with her new label, Columbia Records. It was her third-highest charting album on the Billboard Country Albums chart at #3. Three of its tracks also charted: "Half The Way" was at #2, "It's Like We Never Said Goodbye" topped the charts at #1, and "The Blue Side" reached #8.
