Miss Venezuela 1976 was held in Caracas, Venezuela, on May 21, 1976, after weeks of events. Elluz Peraza, Miss Guárico was crowned Miss Venezuela 1976 by Miss Venezuela 1975, Maritza Pineda. On May 23, Peraza resigned after 36 hours of her reign, and Judith Castillo from Nueva Esparta was crowned the new Miss Venezuela.
