Miss Puerto Rico 2009

The Miss Puerto Rico 2009 pageant will be held in the fall of 2008. Castings have begun in search for this year's contestants. About 80 contestants are expected to compete. The competition will be televised live by WAPA-TV. [1] The winner of the pageant will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant. No further information about the pageant has been released.

- On March 1, 2008 the first casting call was held in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
- On March 16, 2008 the second casting call was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

- Miss Adjuntas (Haydil Rivera) won the title of Miss Puerto Rico International in 2007 and was a finalist at the Miss International 2007 pageant.
- Miss Arroyo (Ruth Rivera) participated in Miss Puerto Rico Teen 2004 and in Miss World Puerto Rico 2005.
- Miss Cabo Rojo (Mayra Matos) won the title of Miss Teen International in 2006.
- Miss San Juan (Jennifer Colon) placed 1st Runner-up at Miss Puerto Rico Teen 2006.
