Miss Louisiana USA
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Miss Louisiana USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Louisiana in the Miss USA pageant.
Louisiana is one of the most successful states at Miss USA. It is ranked ninth in terms of number and value of placements across the history of Miss USA [1]. Louisiana is one of only seven states to have had three or more Miss USAs.
Three Miss Louisiana USA titleholders previously held the Miss Louisiana Teen USA title, including Ali Landry, who won the Miss USA title in 1996. Another notable former Teen is Jennifer Dupont, a Triple Crown winner who also competed at Miss America. Dupont was one of three to have competed at Miss America, one of whom was the first woman to compete in both pageants. Jeanne Vaughn Thompson, Miss Louisiana USA 1952 and 1953 is the only woman to compete in Miss USA twice. She is also the only woman to hold the state title twice and place at Miss USA twice.
Interestingly, two Miss Louisiana USAs has won the Miss USA title and the Miss Photogenic award. California is the only state with Louisiana that has won the title and the award for two times.
Miss Louisiana USA is produced by RPM Productions.
