Miss Earth 2001

The very first Miss Earth pageant, organized by Carousel Productions, was held on October 28, 2001 in Quezon City, Philippines. There were 42 candidates that attended the event. Catharina Svensson of Denmark was crowned as the pageant's first winner.[1]
