Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2001 was held on January 1, 2001. 36 candidates are competed for the national crown. The winner represented the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2001 pageant which was held in Bayamon. The winner will also enter Miss Globe International 2001. The Miss Mundo Dominicana will enter Miss World 2001. The Reina Nacional de Belleza Miss República Dominicana will enter in Miss International 2001. The first runner up will enter Miss Earth 2001. The second runner up will enter Miss América Latina 2001.
