Miss Cast Away
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Miss Cast Away (also known by the title Miss Cast Away and the Island Girls and as Silly Movie 2 in Australia.) is a 2004 spoof anarchic comedy B-movie written and directed by Bryan Michael Stoller. It was only produced on a $2 million budget and filmed entirely on Neverland Ranch, where Michael Jackson lived during that time.
The movie features Michael Jackson, Eric Roberts, Charlie Schlatter, Brande Roderick and cameo appearances by Jerry Lewis, Bob Denver, Pat Morita, and Bernie Kopell.
In 2007, the movie was released on DVD in Australia (three years after its release in the USA) under the new title Silly Movie 2. The film was marketed to tie in with successful genre-spoof comedies franchises such as the Scary Movie series, Not Another Teen Movie, Date Movie and Epic Movie. Of note with the title change is the fact a first Silly Movie does not exist. This is parodied in the tagline for the altered movie poster: "Twice as silly as the original." [1]
