[edit] Mission Statement and Philosophy

M.A.C’s mission is to provide students with a solid grounding in education while maintaining the moral standards of the Egyptian home. M.A.C achieves through its dynamic, internationally experienced personnel. Teaching and administrative staff, a blend of highly qualified foreign nationals and Egyptians, provide stellar education for students.

One of the main philosophies of the school is the belief in the development of each student’s maximum potential and individual development. Although the teaching follows the American curriculum and methodologies, Arabic and religion are given the same importance.

[edit] Houses

In 2006 M.A.C established the House System. There are three houses: Desert Foxes, Cairo Cobras, Egyptian Eagles, and the Nile Crocodiles. Each house has its own special color. Students are assigned to a certain house. The teachers choose which student goes where. Students can win house points, but cannot lose any. House points can be won for nearly anything, like being good in class, for helping a student, for doing something notable, and the likes. Also, sometime in Spring M.A.C holds its annual Sports Day. On Sports Day, students spend the day at the country club Wadi Degla [2] to play a sport of their choice. Students can win house points for wearing their house colors, or winning any of the matches they play in. At the end of the year the house points are counted up and announced on the last day of school, or Fun Day. The winning team gets to go on a field trip to anywhere in Egypt. This year the cobras were supposed to go to Dream Park, however, it was canceled due to the holidays.

[edit] Uniform

The uniform has undergone many changes ever since the school was established. Currently, the uniform consists of: a blue polo and navy trousers for regular days, and on days where the students have P.E or P.C, they must wear a yellow polo, and navy pants. All of the clothes have the school logo embroidered on. There are also jackets, scarfs, long sleeved polos, and coats with the school logo on it available. School uniforms are to be purchased at Raymond's. M.A.C has a rather strict uniform policy, and it was recently decided that if the student comes to school wearing anything but the uniform, they wouldn't be allowed into their classes.
