I attempted the merger, didn't work technically, the message is "that page already exists ...", this has been discussed enough and is OK to do.Gmotamedi 02:30, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Nationalist hero?

The man founded a soviet socialist republic and tried to separate Gilan from Iran and join it with the USSR. He therefore most certainly was not a nationalist, and using the term hero is unverfiable and unencyclopedic anyway. The article seems to be copied from Islamic republic textbooks rather than proper sources. Shervink 14:52, 6 February 2007 (UTC)shervink
