Mirto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 120 km east of Palermo and about 70 km west of Messina. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,083 and an area of 9.4 km².[1]
Mirto borders the following municipalities: Capo d'Orlando, Capri Leone, Frazzanò, Naso, San Salvatore di Fitalia.
