Miroslava (Mirka) Vavrinec (born 1 April 1978 in Bojnice, Slovakia) is a former WTA tennis player from Switzerland, who retired from the game in 2002 after a foot injury. She is currently the girlfriend of world number one in tennis, Roger Federer.

Vavrinec, born in Slovakia, emigrated to Switzerland when she was two years old. Her parents currently own a jewelry shop and reside in Schaffhausen.[1] In 1987, when Vavrinec was nine, her father took her to watch a tournament at Filderstadt in Germany. Vavrinec met Martina Navratilova who thought she looked athletic and should try tennis. Navratilova later sent Vavrinec a racquet and arranged for her first tennis lesson.[2]
