Mirna Jukić (born April 9, 1986 in Vukovar, Croatia) is a bronze medal winner in both short course and long course at the world championships in swimming. She arrived in Austria in 1999 and received citizenship the following year. She is trained by her father, a former basketball player. She has had numerous European championship and World championship successes.
After one year away from swimming (Jukic suffered from Pfeiffer's disease in 2006) she came back even stronger than before. She's quicker now especially over the shorter distances. Mirna Jukic starts over 100 m and 200 m breaststroke at the Olympic Games in Bejing and has chances to win a medal.
