Mirko Novosel

Mirko Novosel (born June 30, 1938 in Zagreb, Croatia, formerly SFR Yugoslavia) is a former Croatian basketball player and coach.
He played from 1952 to 1966. As a coach, he led Yugoslavia national team to the gold medal in Moscow Olympics in 1980, silver medal in Montreal Olympics in 1976 and bronze medal in Los Angeles Olympics in 1984, he is one of only four coaches with at least three Olympic medals in basketball.
He also coached Cibona Zagreb to three Yugoslav League titles, seven Yugoslav Cups and a Champions Cup title in 1985, when he was named the European Coach of the Year. He was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on September 7th, 2007.
