Miriam Dudley

Miriam Dudley is a librarian and currently Programme Director of SLS Legal Publications at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Dudley attended and graduated from the University of Cambridge and the University of Sheffield. She was the first professional Law Librarian in the Bar Library from 1984 to 1994. Her efforts in the field of information literacy led to the formation of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Instruction under the auspices of the American Library Association.[1][2] She later moved to Queen's University Belfast as Law and Government Publications Librarian.
In 1998 she was appointed Director of SLS, a legal publishing and training company, which is the main provider of continuing professional development to the legal profession in Northern Ireland.

The ACRL/IS Miriam Dudley Instruction Librarian Award is named after Dudley.
