Mirdha

Mirdha (Hindi: मिर्धा) is surname of Jats found in Jodhpur Marwar region of Rajasthan, India. It is based on title Mirdha which was awarded by Emperor of Delhi in 1584 A.D. when Raja Uday Singh of Jodhpur, under the orders of Emperor Akbar, marched to Gujarat and defeated Sultan Muzzafar in battle. Distribution of Mirdhas in Rajasthan is in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Nagaur districts. www.mirdhadak.com

Mirdha Family (Baldev Ram Mirdha) is a political dynasty from Rajasthan in India, it has long been and still are primarily into agriculture. But also have a strong political presence. Having delivered to society, the family has produced leaders of national and state stature, giving it a strong socio-political standing.
