Mircea Sandu (born in 22 October 1952) is a retired Romanian football (soccer) player. He was a striker with Sportul Studenţesc, where he played from 1971-1986.
Sandu is president of the Romanian Football Federation since 1990, and was re-elected in 2005. He is currently a member of the UEFA Executive Committee.
His nickname is "The Godfather"
