Mircea Stefan Gogoncea (born October 27, 1991 in Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian classical guitarist.

Mircea Gogoncea studied classical guitar from the age of four with Eugen Mang, having his first stage and competition performances at the age of five. He graduated from the Pro College in 2003, with the Diploma of Excellence in the field of classical music - classical guitar. He is currently a student in the 10th grade at George Enescu Music High School and a member of the Henry Coanda National Foundation for supporting gifted youth, since October 2000.

He attended the master classes of Carlo Marchione, Pavel Steidel, Bosko Radojkovic, Ioana Gandrabur, Joseph Urshalmi, Silfredo Perez, Alexis Muzurakis, Susana Prieto, Alfred Eickholt, Gerhard Reichenbach, Costas Cotsiolis, Giampaolo Bandini, Alexander Ramirez, Stephen Goss, Hubert Kappel, Thomas Kirchhoff, Dale Kavanagh, Odair Assad, Leo Brouwer, Nikita Koshkin.

At the age of eight he participated in the Klassik in Sommer Tour (6-18 of July, 2000, Hamburg).

Gogoncea performed in the opening of the Golden Lion Film Festival (Venice on the 7th of September 2003) and the Grand Gala UNESCO.

His general record includes 121 prizes in 8 different fields: classical guitar, mathematics, informatics, literary creation, theater, painting, photography and school activities.

Mircea Gogoncea's classical guitar record includes 73 awards in 69 national and international guitar competitions in locations like Velbert (Germany), Weimar (Germany), Belgrade (Yugoslavia), Alessandria (Italy), Los Angeles (United States of America), Sinaia, Tulcea, Ploieşti, Târgovişte, Bucharest, Alba-Iulia, Cluj-Napoca (Romania). Out of those prizes, 57 are first prizes, and 3 are "great prizes".

Mircea Gogoncea is the winner of the Youth Competition Division I of the GFA Convention 2007 (Los Angeles, CA)
