He played for clubs such as NK Olimpija, SC Freiburg (Germany), Olympiakos Nicosia and APOEL (Cyprus) and FC Porto (Portugal).

He played for Slovenia national football team and was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000.
