Miraj Islamic School is a learning institution located in Staten Island, New York. It is notable for being the only such Islam-oriented school on Staten Island.

Miraj is a remarkable Islamic School located on 307 Victory Blvd, Staten Island NY 10301. It is surrounded by an Islamic environment. It continues to grow every year. Currently it has reached 9th grade, but next year (Sept 2008) it will reach 10th grade and so on. It has the Albanian Islamic Cultural Center (A mosque) right on top. The school's mission is to teach their student proper manners, and teaching them how to prosper in life. The school has Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Albanian,Computers, Physical Education, and Art class. It is just like any other private school, but it has Islamic subjects too. If anyone was to join, they should do it quickly space is limited, because there are usually 23 or 24 students per class. It is an overall wonderful school.

The "Miraj", the ascension from the earth to the heavans, is a significant event in the life of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). He (s.a.w) traveled from Makkah to Jerusalem to the heavans and back home, all in one night. Our school is dedicated to striving towards the goal of "Miraj", stressing Islam as the main focus of academia. This foundation will help insure the development of well-rounded individuals, dedicated to understanding and pand practicing Islam at all times.
