Miracle Mile Shops[1] is a 475,000 square foot (44,129 m²), 1.5 mile long, enclosed shopping mall on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada is home to more than 140 stores and 15 restaurants.

Synonymous with retail districts throughout the country, the name connotes a shopping environment and also alludes to the "Miracle Mile" district, as the casino renovates its image to a Los Angeles themed resort.[citation needed]

The $300 million mall opened with the reconstructed Aladdin hotel in August, 2000 as the Desert Passage mall. It was built and operated by Trizec Properties. The mall had a Moroccan theme to match the adjoining Aladdin hotel. The shopping complex featured an hourly indoor thunderstorm.

The only Commander's Palace outside of New Orleans opened in 2001.[citation needed]

The mall was sold in 2003 to Boulevard Invest LLC owned by Investcorp, RFR Holding LLC, and Tristar Capital.

To match the conversion of the Aladdin to a Planet Hollywood, the Desert Passage is being renovated and adopting a new Los Angeles theme, being called Miracle Mile Shops. Renovations started in 2005.

Planned enhancements included new, more comfortable flooring, brighter interior lighting, streamlined and modernized storefronts and kiosks. The mall will become easier to navigate with the addition of an interactive directional system.

Other new features will be people movers for better access into the mall, a backlit sidewalk water feature and state-of-the-art LED video offering continuous streaming imagery. The mall's entrances and existing retail locations on the facade will be made over with floor-to-ceiling glass vestibule doors and storefronts. Finally, the new exterior will include a patio and terrace extending out to the sidewalk.
