"Miracle" was planned as the fifth and final single off the Foo Fighters' fifth album, In Your Honor. It would be the second single off the acoustic side of the album. The first single off the acoustic side of the album is "Cold Day In the Sun," which was combined with "No Way Back" (from the rock side) for a double A-side single.
There was artwork for an early radio release when the album initially was released.
Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones plays piano on this song. In addition, Jones plays mandolin on another track called 'Another Round'.
This song is featured on Scrubs in the 6x02 episode, titled "My Best Friend's Baby's Baby and My Baby's Baby" and also on The West Wing episode 7x17 Election Day Part II
