Marcello Guarino is the oldest man in the town of Mirabella Eclano who is 102 years old.[citation needed] He was awarded a medal from the Mayor in September 2005 when he celebrated his 100th birthday in which 300 locals came to celebrate.[citation needed] The birthday was so big that two large Italian television networks including RAI 2 were there to film the occasion in which was broadcast on Italian Television.[citation needed] Marcello Guarino has eight children some of whom live in Australia and Canada.[citation needed] The remainder of the family still live in Mirabella.[citation needed]
