Mirabella Eclano is 46 kilometers away from the provincial capital of Avellino. Adjacent towns are Apice (BN), Bonito, Calvi (BN), Fontanarosa, Grottaminarda, Sant'Angelo all'Esca, Taurasi, Torre Le Nocelle, Venticano

Marcello Guarino is the oldest man in the town of Mirabella Eclano who is 102 years old.[citation needed] He was awarded a medal from the Mayor in September 2005 when he celebrated his 100th birthday in which 300 locals came to celebrate.[citation needed] The birthday was so big that two large Italian television networks including RAI 2 were there to film the occasion in which was broadcast on Italian Television.[citation needed] Marcello Guarino has eight children some of whom live in Australia and Canada.[citation needed] The remainder of the family still live in Mirabella.[citation needed]
