Mira Trailović

Mira Trailović (Serbian Cyrillic: Мира Траиловић; born January 22, 1924, died August 7, 1989 in Belgrade) was a Serbian dramaturg, theatre director and founder of Atelje 212 Theatre.

She studied dramaturgy in Academy for theatre art in Belgrade. On that faculty she was one of the professors. In 1967 together with Jovan Ćirilov she founded BITEF (Belgrade International Theatre Festival). She lived in Paris and worked in Theatre of Nations. She received the most prominent French award: Légion d'honneur.

Her nickname was Bulldozer in fur coat (Serbian: Buldožder u bundi). In her honour a square is named after her near the Bajlonijeva pijaca (Bajloni market) in Belgrade in front of the Bitef Theatre.
