The pole, which was constructed entirely on-site, has a height of 100.6 meters with maximum base diameter of 3 meters, and weighs 120 metric tons. The flag itself measures 50 by 28.6 meters and weighs about 230 kilograms. The pole springs from the very center of a rounded esplanade some 40 meters in diameter. Visitors can approach the base of the flag pole and enjoy panoramic views of the city.
