The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown is a pseudo-3D adventure mobile game based on the popular TV series, The Simpsons released by EA Mobile in 2007. It is the playable character Homer Simpson's job to prevent a nuclear meltdown that Plopper (aka Spider Pig) somehow causes. Homer can pick up donuts and Buzz Cola to restore his health. Playable environments include the Simpsons house, outside the Kwik-E-Mart, and inside the nuclear power plant.[1]

There are three levels in this game; level one is an easier level set in the Simpsons' home, where Homer must find his car keys, while being chased by Officer Eddie and Officer Lou in order to drive to Springfield Nuclear Power Plant to prevent the meltdown of Springfield. In the second level, Homer has crashed his car en route to the Power Plant, and must find his way to the Power Plant on foot (amid many attacks on him from angry citizens). In the third level, Homer is in the Power Plant and must find and shut off the "Meltdown Valve" while being attacked by Lenny, Carl and other Nuclear Plant workers.

"Along the way, interact with Bart, Mr. Burns, Apu and more of your favorite Springfieldians. Avoid hazards like burning tires and giant sinkholes while you navigate Homer through his fast-paced, perilous mission. Watch out for Krusty the Clown, Officer Lou and others who try to stop Homer from saving the day."[2]
