If Otto van Hoek were based on Piet Hein, then it's possible that Moseh de la Cruz could have been inspired by Moses Cohen Henriques, who participated in Hein's raid on the Spanish treasure fleet in Cuba. Hashashin 17:31, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Am I the only one to think that Moseh's skill at throwing tomahawks is eerily reminiscent of actor Ed Ames (Mingo on the old series Daniel Boone) and his memorable exhibition of tomahawk-throwing on the Tonight Show?

(For anyone who hasn't seen it, Ed is asked to demonstrate the art of tomahawk-throwing. Stagehands bring out a wooden target, a life-sized drawing of a man on a sheet of plywood. Ed throws the tomahawk and strikes the target squarely in the groin, which prompts Johnny Carson to quip "I didn't know you were Jewish!") DaddyWarlock (talk) 09:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
