The article on "Mingulay" points out that the song was "composed in 1938, after the abandonment of Mingulay." Clearly, then, the song was not sung by Scottish fishermen as they returned home to Mingulay. Can someone correct this?

Also, as long as we're being picky, fishermen returning from the open Atlantic would not have crossed the Minch, which is the straight separating the Outher Hebrides from mainland Scotland.148.85.1.102 15:44, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
