Talk:Ming Dynasty family tree

[edit] Is this necessary?
There is already an article called List of Emperors of the Ming Dynasty; I see this article, Ming Dynasty family tree, as adding nothing to that since it only lists emperors, like the already existing article I've linked. This article seems like a waste of space. Prove to me otherwise.--Pericles of AthensTalk 02:15, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- This is a family tree; it shows family relationships. It serves a completely different purpose to any list. You will find that the majority of European monarchies have both lists and family trees on Wikipedia, without any call for their removal. (See List of family trees.) I can only assume that as an Americanised Athenian, you don't realise that under a monarchic or imperial system, genealogy becomes rather important as it indicates the monarch or emperor's right to rule.
