[edit] Mess

HiTech Racing, from which this page has been redirected, still exists as a Formula 3 racing team in the British International series, so Hitech Racing needs to be re-instated. Check www.fota.co.uk. Dotdotdotcomma 12:33, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I was thinking that might be the case. I'm also not entirely sure that "Minardi Piquet Sports" is a "team" so much as a business arrangement for 2007. Anyone? This maybe ought to be 3 or 4 articles not one. I'm gonna try and patch this up as best as I can but anyone who knows more about the subject is hereby invited to sort out the mess! --kingboyk 11:13, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
You're definitely right regarding F3 - see 2007 British Formula Three season. I'll restore a seperate article for HiTech. --kingboyk 11:16, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm only going by memory here, but I think there was a 'real' Piquet sports team which ran Nelson Jr in SudAm F3 and possibly in his first year in British F3. Since then I think the title has been lent to whichever pre-existing team was running him in either F3 or F3000. 4u1e 16:27, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Piquet Sports, which comprised mostly Brazilian staff, was established in 2001 to run Piquet Jr. in F3 Sudamericana for 2 seasons, then it migrated with him to the UK for his two years in British F3, then graduated to GP2 with him, partnered with David Hayle's operation. It ran him alongside Xandinho Negrao in '05. The partnership didn't last long in practice [1]. Adrian M. H. 22:47, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Support - Piquet Sports is the correct name of the team for 2008, and the changing name is explained clearly in the lead.-- Diniz(talk) 13:36, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
