Two special exhibits are at the Science Museum of Minnesota in Saint Paul, Minnesota during April. Animation explores the science behind the art of animation from "storyboarding, character design, and drawing techniques, to movement, timing, filming, and sound" and runs through April 27, 2008. Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race, developed by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, is historical photographs, artifacts and survivor testimony from The Holocaust, and is open through May 4, 2008. Minicon 43 will be held March 21-23, 2008 at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota. Minicon is a science fiction and fantasy convention usually held on Easter weekend. Started in 1968 and running approximately annually since then, it is one of the oldest science fiction conventions in the midwest United States. Minicon has had many guests of honor over the years, including Gordon R. Dickson, Poul Anderson, Clifford D. Simak, Lester del Rey, Frederik Pohl, Octavia E. Butler, Harlan Ellison, Larry Niven, and Terry Pratchett. (Full article)
