Minnesota State Highway 78 is a highway in west-central Minnesota, which runs from the interchange of Interstate Highway 94 and Minnesota 78 (near Ashby) and continues north to its northern terminus at the interchange of U.S. Highway 10 and Minnesota 78 in Perham.

The southern terminus for Minnesota 78 is its interchange with Interstate Highway 94 at Pelican Lake Township (south of Ashby).
The northern terminus for Minnesota 78 is its interchange with U.S. Highway 10 at Perham.

Highway 78 was authorized in 1933.
The south portion of Highway 78 was still gravel in 1953. All of the route was paved by 1960.
