Minnesota State Highway 39 is a short highway in northeast Minnesota, which runs from the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and Minnesota 39 in Duluth and continues east to its eastern terminus at the Wisconsin state line (at the Oliver Bridge), where it becomes Wisconsin Highway 105 upon entering the village of Oliver, Wisconsin.

The Oliver Bridge crosses the St. Louis River.

Highway 39 is more commonly known as McCuen Street in the Gary-New Duluth neighborhood of Duluth.

Minnesota Highway 39 serves as a short route between Duluth and the village of Oliver, Wisconsin.

Highway 39, together with Wisconsin Highway 105, are part of a 6-mile east-west arterial route between the city of Superior, Wisc., Oliver, and the Gary-New Duluth neighborhood of Duluth.

All of Highway 39 is in St. Louis County.

The western terminus for Minnesota 39 is its intersection with Minnesota Highway 23 (Commonwealth Avenue) in Duluth.

The eastern terminus for Minnesota 39 is at the Wisconsin state line (at the Oliver Bridge), where it becomes Wisconsin Highway 105 upon crossing the St. Louis River.

Highway 39 was authorized and paved circa 1947.

At one time, Highway 39 had continued farther west, extending over what is now Minnesota Highway 210 in Jay Cooke State Park. The section of present day Minnesota Highway 210 between Minnesota Highway 23 (at Fond du Lac / Duluth) and present day Minnesota Highway 45 (at Carlton) was originally designated Highway 39 between 1958 and 1973.
