[edit] Notes

The newest section of Highway 312 between Dell Road in Eden Prairie and State Highway 41 in Chaska opened on December 7, 2007.

Highway 312 is a temporary designation (route number) for what will eventually become part of the new U.S. 212 freeway alignment in Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, and Chaska. The road construction project is expected to be completed by the end of year 2008.

Highway 312 overlaps Minnesota Highway 5 for part of its current length. Recently installed signs at Interstate Highway 494 exit 13B in Eden Prairie display the Highway 312 sign overlapping U.S. Highway 212, the future route designation.
