Minnesota State Highway 298 serves Minnesota state institutions in Faribault: the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind and a prison which was formerly a state hospital. It is only about a mile long. At its north end, it connects to Minnesota State Highway 60 and Minnesota State Highway 299, which continues north to the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf.
