Minneapolis Intermodal Station is a commuter train and light rail station station that will be built by 2009, located in Downtown Minneapolis in Minnesota. It will be extended from the Warehouse District station on the Hiawatha Line.
The Hiawatha Line will be extended to this stop, and Routes 16, 50, 465, 476 and 477 and the upcoming new commuter line Northstar Corridor will all stop here. There are plans to have the Red Rock Corridor, Central Corridor and Southwest Corridor be connected to this station.
The station will connect to the new Twins Ballpark being constructed at the site, and trains will be able to wait under the stadium. The Minnesota Twins have pledged $2.6 million for its construction.[1]
